Earlier the government banned 59 chinese app. Reports suggest that 275 apps are also in scrutiny.
These 275 apps have started to surface online number month after the Indian government banned the chinese apps.
The government may also ban Player Unknown Battleground AKA (PUBG) in India. The game which has gained popularity in India is also on the list.
The government on Monday band 49 more Chinese apps that were clones of the earlier banned apps. The cloned apps which was still in the market was tiktok lite, hello lite, shareit lite, bigo lite and VFY lite.
Now these apps are not available on the Google Play Store and Apple app store. While PUBG is not a part of the list is said to be under the scanner.
In India pubg boasts about 175 million downloads. The government is considering a ban on the battle royale format game over data security concerns.
PUBG was subject to heavy criticism several times in the past but for a different reason. After receiving several complaints from parents and guardians some state government across the nation. For the temporary ban on the gaming app for its attractive nature that had a psychological impact on players especially youngsters.
